B4-1The Treatment, Intervention and Prevention Service (TIPS) provides a continuum of programs ranging from prevention to aftercare.  The overall goal of the program is to prevent and reduce youth substance abuse in our communities.  TIPS has been a Washington State Licensed substance abuse treatment provider since 1983. Our prevention and treatment programs rely upon evidence based best practice models of prevention, intervention and treatment. TIPS provides these services in King & Pierce Counties, in schools and in our agency locations in Enumclaw and Auburn.

Treatment Services

Outpatient Treatment Groups
TIPS provides DASA Certified outpatient drug and alcohol treatment programs for youth aged 12-18. Services are provided at agency sites and in area schools.

Family Based Services
TIPS services are family based and value the family as part of the youth’s recovery.

Individual Services
TIPS’ utilizes a combination of both individual and group services that empower youth to define an individual treatment plan.

School & Court Ordered Services
TIPS’ provides both school and court ordered substance abuse evaluations and treatment. These services are offered at our agency sites, area schools and at the juvenile probation offices in Kent.

Co-Occurring Services
TIPS’ counselors work with clients that experience co-occurring substance abuse and mental health problems. Our substance abuse treatment team works closely with the AYR and EYFS’ mental health counseling staff to provide comprehensive care. This combination of mental health and chemical dependency treatment adds to the depth and versatility of our services.

Relapse Prevention Groups
Relapse prevention groups provided that serve to reinforce skills and support recovery.  These services are offered in agency sites and schools.

Intervention Services

Substance Abuse Assessments
TIPS utilizes the nationally recognized Global Appraisal of Individual Needs (GAIN) substance abuse assessment and ASAM patient placement criteria to provide accurate, comprehensive and reliable client assessment. These evidence based services are provided at our agency sites, schools and probation offices.

Student Assistance Program
The student assistance, prevention and intervention services provides school based screenings, full assessments, at-risk social skills groups, classroom and community prevention and intervention groups, affected other’s groups and recovery support groups.

Drug Screens
School ordered, court ordered and private drug screens available by appointment.

Prevention Services

B4-4Project Alert
TIPS’ provides Project Alert, an elementary and middle school based prevention program.  Project Alert is a nationally recognized best practice skill building prevention curriculum.
